Lymphedema Nights are free events organized by the Alberta Lymphedema Association with the intent of bringing together patients, therapists, vendors, medical professionals, researchers, and others in order to share pertinent knowledge and establish a sense of community. Learning About Lymphedema

As a sponsor of the Senior’s Kerby Expo, the Alberta Lymphedema Association has been invited to deliver a virtual presentation to Unison Alberta’s extensive audience. This is a wonderful opportunity to spread awareness about lymphedema to the general population.
The presentation, entitled “Learning About Lymphedema,” will be open to the public and free to attend. We hope to see you there as we delve into the basics of the lymphatic system, lymphedema, prevention, warning signs, diagnosis, treatment, and resources.
Virtual Lymphedema Support Group

Come one, come all to this virtual support group facilitated by the Alberta Lymphedema Association. All patients and caregivers are welcome to attend. Share your story, what has worked for you, and hear from others in honour of World Lymphedema Awareness Month.

- NO MEDICAL ADVICE will be provided at this session – we welcome everyone to share what has or has not worked for them, but only a health professional or CLT can speak to each individual’s specific treatment needs once a physical examination has been completed
- We want everyone to get a chance to share! – Sharing will be kept to a strict time limit to ensure that all who attend get the chance to speak and ask questions (if they wish to)

LE&RN Online Symposium: Finding a Drug to Treat Lymphedema
January 23, 2025 @ 9am MST
Dr. Stanley G. Rockson, a leading lymphatic researcher and co-founder of the Lymphatic Education and Research Network (LE&RN), will provide an update on the groundbreaking study currently taking place at the Stanford University School of Medicine. The study involves a drug trial for a drug with the potential to inhibit the molecular mechanism responsible for triggering lymphedema.

The 2025 Lymphatic Forum theme is Exploring the Lymphatic Continuum. Join the Lymphatic Education and Research Network (LE&RN) and the North American Vascular Biology Organization (NAVBO) from June 12-14, 2025, for the Lymphatic Forum 2025 (LF2025). LF2025 is the sixth iteration of this biennial event that brings together researchers from around the world to present and discuss studies of lymphatics in health and disease.
30th ISL World Congress of Lymphology

The 30th International Society of Lymphology (ISL) World Congress of Lymphology will be held at the Royal Seginus Hotel in Antalya, Turkey. The Congress aim is to bring together the International Lymphology Community. Scientists, physicians, surgeons, therapists, researchers, industry and healthcare providers will share the most updated news on a subject that is getting more and more attention.
The Scientific Program will span five days, consisting of plenary lectures, expert panel discussions, free paper sessions, and instructional courses. A special section will be dedicated to patients and their associations. Satellite symposia and joint sessions will be organised with the other national, European and world related societies.
12th International Lymphoedema Framework Conference 2025

The International Lymphedema Framework has announced that their 12th International Lymphoedema Framework Conference will be held here in Canada at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel in Niagara Falls between 23 – 25 October 2025.
ILF2025 will be organised in collaboration with the Canadian Lymphedema Framework (CLF) and the International Lipoedema Association (ILA).
The theme of the conference will be ‘Building Bridges, Connecting Global Perspectives’ and will welcome representatives from 19 National Frameworks, featuring three full days of educational content from keynote speakers and an expansive industry exhibition. This event promises to be insightful and informative, focusing on the latest developments and treatments for lymphoedema and related diseases.
We hope that you join us at the conference to connect with leading experts in the field, share your experiences, and be a part of shaping the future of Lymphoedema care.
